Narrative photos - Johan

If I don't end up finding something during fall break I have a couple of ideas for when I come back. Either I want to follow a day in the life of my friend Sue who works at Curtis and give her perspective of a day at the dining hall or I want to do something with the early morning hours of a Denison day, that is: receiving the morning mail in the mailroom, re-stocking slayter, employees arriving to curtis, booting up radiostation, denison security meeting, etc etc. Thoughts and/or suggestions?

  1. I really like your idea of doing your narrative as something like ethnography...I just wonder if five images will be enough to make it seem complete. But it sounds really interesting.

  2. I will also be interested to see how these will work as a series. I think it would be funny to have a series of yawning Denison employees- it will also be interesting to see how you would show the time of day. I would probably do something literal like putting a clock or watch into each picture, but I'm sure you will think of something creative!

  3. I think both of those ideas are very interesting, although it may be hard to fit a curtis worker's day into five pictures...The early morning idea is super cool though and you could get some very funny pictures for sure
