Mariel, I love your use of a sheet to diffuse the flash and also create an interesting subject matter. This entire shoot takes a very Halloween eerie feel to it. The strongest photos are the one with the red "ghost" next to the red stop sign. The colors on these really match up well. But the best photo is the one of the "ghost" hearkening to the grave. That almost give me the chills
These are so fun :) My favorites are the first two. I really love the blue light that is in front of the person's face in contrast with the yellow light directly beneath their face.
I think it's great that you created the initial kind of eeriness of the lights and you developed it in a more literal way. I really like the two photos: the first it looks like the person is falling into the light which makes me feel there's a kind of alice and wonderland hole ahead..and the second I really like the composition and the red transferred from the stop sign to the ghost. Very cool stuff overall ~Caitlin
I love the thought you put into the photos, they flow really well as a narrative as well as individual photos, and you really used the surroundings and the night to your advantage in the photos - they look great.
