Nice work! I think it's great that you combined your lighting studio work with another picture you'd taken previously. I also think your mountains are more interesting than those in the original ad.
this was a really ambitious shot. i really like how you used not only an image you had to create with some potentially hard-to-locate props, but then proved your skills with photoshop. his positioning and everything is also very accurate. the only thing i would suggest would be perhaps to change the lighting in your background to match that more ambiguous, snowy look in the first image. other than that, though, good work!
I think your roommate got the position of his body very close to the real one. I also think you did a nice job with the props and recreating this photo. Nice job!
