Alex - Opposite of a Cover Girl

  1. I wasn't exactly going for an exact replica of the ad, just a general "covergirl" theme. And with a beat up girl instead of a perfectly made-up one. I know it's not really the assignment, but it was just the idea I ran with. - Alex

  2. 1. Was this really posted at 6:30 this morning? 2. I like how you didn't completely replicate the ad, but rather "ran with it." As far as lighting, I think you did a good job. It might be a little bit more washed out than the original, that is, the light in the original seems to be slightly further back, but that also might have to do with skin color/tanness.

  3. I like that you used the concept within the ad and added your own twist to it. I think that's a risk that you took and I commend you for it, and I think it worked. As for lighting, I think you did a good job, as Mariel said it's a little bit more washed out, but you have the angle and type of lighting right.

  4. would have been nice to see something in the white space, although i like the white space, i'm kind of torn...
other than that, it's a bit too washed out, which i don't think is intentional...but it's an interesting idea.

  5. I agree with Kirslyn, I think maybe matching more of the composition of the original ad? I think it would be more effective with the change if more of the original elements were kept.

    Looks good though!
